PVC filament an pellets for 3D printing

As the innovation pioneer for PVC additives, Chemson is always one step ahead of the rest of the market. True to our track record, we have now succeeded in developing a PVC filament and PVC pellets for 3D printing. The prototyping of the future will mostly be done using 3D manufacturing. For this reason, we have poured all our efforts in the formulation of a 3D filament and pelltes from PVC. Our 3D Vinyl formula combines all the benefits of this material.

All-rounder PVC

3D Vinyl by Chemson

Thanks to its versatile material properties, PVC is one of the most important plastics on the market. This material offers a wealth of benefits, for instance:

  • versatile application possibilities

  • long lifespan

  • robustness

  • excellent value for money

  • high recycling capability

Our 3D Vinyl formula was developed for the manufacturing industries. It really comes into its own in the printing of support structures, and thus in the manufacturing of prototypes and final parts. The benefits of PVC are maintained in full in the 3D Vinyl formulation:

The printed products are less expensive than metal moulds, for instance, and also have a longer lifespan, improved UV resistance and are weather- and fire-proof (fire rating: class 1). The ecological balance sheet also adds up: The 3D Vinyl formulation uses 40% less fossil fuels than other filaments and the end products are recyclable to a high degree.

3D printing as a success factor in the industry

The advantages of 3D printing are particularly apparent when it comes to research and development. With 3D printing, ideas can be turned into hands-on conceptual models in no time. For the automotive industry, the option of manufacturing functioning prototypes is a real advantage: Depending on the size of the desired object, hard-wearing models with a high surface quality are available for functional tests within days or even hours. The architectural industry also benefits from 3D technology: Where previously, several employees would spend weeks on constructing a model, 3D printers create high-precision models based on innovative designs within a fraction of that time.
